Toyota announced the U.S. 2027 Camry on October 13, with starting MSRP of $29,700 before dealer processing and handling. The exclusively hybrid sedan is expected at dealerships this fall. Toyota describes the grades, features and options as carryovers.

That distinction matters when comparing an available 2026 car with an incoming 2027. This is a model-year announcement, rather than a new-generation redesign. Ask for the equipment list and delivered price of each specific vehicle before deciding whether the newer model year warrants a higher quote.

Five grades and two drive configurations

The lineup consists of LE, SE, Nightshade, XLE and XSE. All offer FWD or electronic on-demand AWD. The 2.5-liter hybrid produces 225 net combined horsepower with FWD and 232 hp with AWD, which adds a rear electric motor.

Toyota gives the LE FWD a manufacturer-estimated 51 mpg combined. That is a configuration-specific estimate, not a figure for every Camry. When checking a dealer listing, match the grade and drivetrain to the applicable fuel-economy information.

Comfort and sport equipment follow different paths

SE, Nightshade and XSE have sport-tuned suspension. LE uses 16-inch alloy wheels, while SE has 18-inch wheels and XSE has 19-inch wheels. XLE and XSE receive a 12.3-inch instrument display; the other grades use a 7-inch display.

Wheel size, suspension specification and cabin equipment are separate reasons to choose a grade. A shopper seeking a particular dashboard display should not assume it comes with every sport-styled version. Likewise, appearance alone does not establish whether two dealer cars have the same options.

Before visiting, request photographs or the window sticker showing the actual vehicle. Check the wheel specification, drivetrain and packages against the quote, rather than relying on the listing’s lead photograph.

Build a comparison around the actual quote

The $29,700 headline is the starting MSRP, not a complete purchase total or a price for an AWD XSE. Ask the dealer to itemize the selected car’s price, processing and handling, installed accessories, taxes and registration. Keep any trade-in or financing discussion separate enough to see what changed in each part of the transaction.

For buyers who already like the current Camry, the carryover approach makes the exact configuration and price particularly useful comparison points. The source for the announced specifications and timing is Toyota’s October 13 U.S. release.
